Annual award honors businesses that have made significant contributions to state's growth, strength and success
VERONA, NJ (November 17, 2009) – LiveProcess, the market leader in web-based emergency preparedness and incident management solutions for hospitals and healthcare organizations, was named today as the 40th fastest growing company in New Jersey by NJBIZ, the leading statewide business newspaper. The announcement was made at The Palace at Somerset Park during ceremonies honoring New Jersey's 50 fastest growing companies.
This is the first year that Verona, NJ-based LiveProcess was named to the list, which recognizes businesses that have made significant contributions to the growth, strength and success of New Jersey. The list is limited to for-profit companies headquartered in New Jersey with revenue of at least $500,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, and showing revenue growth in 2008, as compared to 2005 (a four-year period).
In September 2009, LiveProcess was also named to Inc. Magazine's list of America's fastest-growing private companies, an exclusive ranking that represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America's independent-minded entrepreneurs.
"At a time when nothing in the economy seems to be going right, its easy to lose hope in the future. Companies that hone winning strategies in the good times can expect to ride out the bad and, more importantly, preserve the optimism and spirit of innovation that drive them to excel," said Thomas F. Curtin, NJBIZ publisher. "LiveProcess and the other companies on this list have faced challenges with a mindset that says no obstacle is too big to overcome. They continue to make plans for the future with persistence and resilience, knowing that opportunity is always out there waiting."
"We are delighted by this recognition," said Nathaniel Weiss, CEO and founder of LiveProcess, whose market-driven model is proven in the field at hundreds of healthcare facilities nationwide. "The rapid growth of our company and industry acceptance is exciting and rewarding for all of us at LiveProcess."
Weiss said emergency preparedness is a critical issue for healthcare organizations. "We started this company in 2003 when there was clearly a widespread unmet need among healthcare organizations for a better way to manage and respond to emergencies in their communities," he added. "Thanks to a very committed and talented staff, weve been able to harness the best available technology and apply it effectively to meet these needs."
